government for a job in a “paid internship” program in the hope of attracting American medical students.
Dr. Daniel Czarniak, an assistant professor of orthopedics at the University of Toronto, has agreed to join the National Institutes of Health (NIH) program, which offers up to five years of work experience to students and faculty.
The program, called the National Physician Assistant (NPA), is a key part of NIH’s National Physiotherapy Career Development Initiative.
Dr Czarki is a member of the program’s board of directors and a member, along with Dr. Paul Schaeffer of New York University, of the National Center for Health Research and Development, which administers the program.
“The NPA will provide the training and experience to the best and brightest, who will be able to become more effective in the fields of health care, science and technology,” the NIH said in a statement.
The U.K.-based NIH said it would invest $5 million in the program, and a further $25-million would come from the federal government’s Health Technology Research and Innovation (HTRI) account.
In Canada, the NPA program is the first of its kind in the world.
It’s expected to be in place by 2020.
“In terms of our current work, the number one concern is the cost of training,” Dr Czaricki said in an interview with CBC News.
“I’m going to try to get as much as I can, and I think it will be very cost effective for us.
I think this is an excellent way to do that.”
The program is a joint effort between the NIH and the Canada Council of Canadian Institutes of Advanced Studies.
Dr Schaeffers group, along, said it expects to award around 300 scholarships to the first 250 students.
The scholarships are paid out by the Canada Health Act and include a $25 stipend, with $1,000 going to the student’s first-year tuition.
The other half of the scholarship money is going to cover the cost for housing, food, books, office supplies and other costs.
Dr Schwartzman said that, because the program is part of the NIH’s HTRI account, he was able to pay for the scholarships while working in Canada, as opposed to the NIH.
The Canadian government said the NEP program is an important part of its efforts to attract international students to the country.
“While many foreign students choose to study in Canada for their post-graduate studies, a significant number are studying to enter the workforce in Canada,” the statement from the Canadian Institutes for Advanced Studies said.
“It is important to note that the NHPB’s current research programs are not only aimed at helping Canadian graduates and post-graduates enter the global healthcare arena, but also provide them the skills they need to be successful in the future.”
