Three-year-old Amandla Stenberg has already had her first Snapchat conversation with her cousin Darryl.
But, the youngest of the three Black girls has now decided to take a step beyond the social media platform and launch her own brand.
The hashtag ‘DARE TO BE BLACK’ is making waves in the US and around the world, with Amandlas first Snapchat post being a photo of her cousin, who was born with a deformity.
“I wanted to share this with my whole family, so I took a picture of him and his dad.
I wanted to say thank you for making me who I am,” Amandlah says in the video below.
“So I’m going to put the word out to everyone I know, and I think I’ve just changed the way that I look at myself.”
Amandolas new brand, Dare To Be Black, has since been picked up by brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gap.
Amandloas brand name is ‘Daring to Be Black’ Amandalas brand ‘DAS’ means ‘Dared to Succeed’ and is the name of her brand.
She told ABC News that the word is a symbol of perseverance.
“You can’t get caught up in your fears and get caught in your anxiety,” she said.
“There’s a saying that ‘a little courage is better than a lot of courage’, and it’s just a really big statement to make, and it makes you know that you can get up every day, that you’re not just a burden that you have to overcome, you can do this.”
